Family Wildflower Hike in the Red River Basin - Length 22:48

Join Dan and Judy Dourson’s grandchildren for a virtual wildflower walk in the Red River Basin. You will see many of the common wildflowers seen in early spring in the bottom lands, as well as flowers found on the ridge tops with some surprise organisms!

Each year KNPS organizes field trips to explore Kentucky’s natural areas. Trip leaders are knowledgeable about the area being explored and the native plants and plant communities that are found in that area.

For the best experience and to protect sensitive plant habitats, the number of participants in the field trips will usually be limited. Because of this, pre-registration will be required for all trips. Registration forms will be made active 30 days before each trip.
